DFW Poker Dealer school offers individualized instruction to meet your level of previous knowledge and experience. From the absolutely blank slate that doesn't know a full house from a domino, to someone who just needs some refinement to thier pitch and game mangament to get over the hump of passing an auditon. Modules

Mechanics

How to most effecentily move your body to perform the tasks of dealing. Emphasizing habits that promote longevity as well as basic game security techniques expected and required by reputable Social Clubs and Card Rooms

Deck Handing

Shuffle (riffle, box, cut), pitch, collect, expose, muck pile, burn cards, squaring

Chip Handling

Placement, counting, stacking, game security meausures, pot placement


Games Taught

Master the most commonly played games in North Texas, and the country. You'll learn how to best run all following games to maximize your potential for tips and impress future employers with industry specific customer service skills.

No Limit Texas Hold'em

The most common poker game played in the world. The foundation of your dealing skills will be built here.

Pot Limit Omaha

Fast paced and big action. Build upon skill base with this challenging game. 

Omaha variants

Hi/Lo, Double board bomb pot, 5 card, 6 card. Once you've mastered the other games, these will come naturally. 


The Rules

Poker has some standarized rules, there are different rules in different house and there is the way poker rules work in practice. You'll learn it all.

Letter of the Law

TDA Rules, strictest interpretation.

Player Mistakes

The player has made a game affecting rules violation, now what?
